This commitment was vividly demonstrated by Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has taken exemplary steps to enhance, promote, and rejuvenate the ancient language. During his tenure, CM Yogi has repeatedly emphasized the importance of Sanskrit in shaping Bharat’s cultural identity. On a significant occasion, Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Varanasi and inaugurated the Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University. In a historic move, he addressed the students in Sanskrit, reiterating the importance of the language in contemporary society. This initiative aimed to benefit 69,195 students, distributing a total of ₹586 lakhs in scholarships, thereby encouraging academic pursuits in Sanskrit. Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has led by example, taking an oath in Sanskrit when he was elected as an MP, reinforcing his commitment to the language. Furthermore, the government has been actively promoting Sanskrit in educational institutions, supporting traditional scholars, and organizing cultural events to celebrate its rich heritage.
